So, who is Rhonda Sweat?
Short version, a comedian who's clean with a little spice on the side. Long version, keep reading. Public servant by day, comedian by night. My goal is to leave you feeling light and refreshed with my witty commentary and storytelling.
HER STORY
Hey, I'm Rhonda.
Have you heard the saying "people are either in your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime"? Well, I had a boyfriend who thought I was hilarious and kept telling me I missed my calling. I took a comedy class to surprise him for Valentine's Day. In February 2020, my very first comedy set went well, and I fell in love. Not with him; he is no longer with us. Don't worry, he didn't die. He just came into my life for a reason, and comedy stepped in for a lifetime.
I've spent years in front of crowds, and in that time I've stood before just about every kind of audience there is. I've graced the stage at Zanies, The Comedy Store, and several clubs around the country. In 2023, I won Third Coast Comedy Club's People's Choice Award for Best Stand-Up Comic. In my spare time, I also teach stand-up. Whether it's your best day or your worst day, my goal is to make you feel encouraged and uplifted, and to get you laughing.

Here's what you should know about me
I'm clean with a little spice on the side
I can perform a clean set, but I'm not going to bore you either. I can roll with the best of them because I've got an edge, and I know how to use it. Corporate ballroom, church fellowship hall, or family reunion, everybody gets a great night and nobody has to cover their kids' ears. I can also go into any comedy club or bar and grill and light up the room.
I've got some miles on me
And I'm proud of every one of them. I'm not the youngest comic in the room, and that's exactly why I'm good at this. I've lived enough life to find the funny in almost anything.
My faith matters to me
It isn't something I perform, it's just part of who I am. It shows up as kindness, as loving people well, and as treating every room and every person with respect. You don't have to share my beliefs to enjoy my show. Everybody is welcome, always.
